Place the heat mat on the bottom of your vivarium on either the left or right side. Plug the heat mat into the thermostat. Connect the heat mat power cable to the heater socket on the thermostat. Plug heat mat into thermostat.

Position thermostat up and away from seedling trays and stray water. Once your probe is in place you must plug your heat mat power cord into the thermostat itself that s what the open outlet on the bottom is for in order for the thermostat to do the on off function it needs to regulate the temperature.
