Pour 1 4 cup of toilet bowl cleaner or household bleach into the toilet and flush it a few times.
How to remove water in floor by toilet.
Disconnect the toilet from the water supply in your building.
If that doesn t work you may have to cut the bolts with a hacksaw or split the nuts with a nut splitter.
Use pliers to remove the nuts and washers from the toilet floor bolts called closet bolts.
Pry off the trim caps on the floor bolts if necessary and then remove the nuts from the floor bolts with an adjustable wrench.
Before you start the replacement task remove the hose that supplies water to your toilet.
Then disconnect both ends of the water supply tube.
Follow these steps to remove an old toilet.
Remove the plastic bolt covers at the base of the toilet bowl prying them up with a flathead screwdriver.
Turn off the water to the toilet and flush the toilet again lift off the top of the tank and set it out of the way.
