The tape should lie at the edges of the concrete floor where the ground meets the wall at a right angle. Use paintbrushes to apply the agent to the floor along the walls in about a 3 inch strip and then spread the agent over the rest of the surface of the floor with a squeegee working in rows along the floor that overlap by approximately 2 inches to ensure full coverage. This tape is helpful both at leveling the compound in the next step and at strengthening the new surface of the floor. Self levelling cement can be a good alternative for levelling these issues without having to fix the entire structure of the floor.
