How to mop a bathroom floor.
Be sure to get along the sides of your toilet bowl where it is anchored to the floor.
As in the previous step use an old toothbrush or cloth to thoroughly clean the areas where the mop cannot reach.
Use a mop to clean the floor and take particular care in areas where more dirt accumulates.
Clean ceramic tile floors with warm water or a mixture of warm water and a few drops of mild dish soap.
For best results wash bathroom tiles once a week and kitchen tiles biweekly.
Add fresh water frequently to avoid cleaning with dirty water.
Sponge mops may push dirty water into grout lines so instead use a cleaning cloth or a flat mop to apply the mixture.
If your grout is old and just doesn t respond to anything you clean it with it is probably time to replace it.
Mix until suds form.
All you need to do is close the drain and fill the sink with 2 gallons of warm water.
Finish up by going over the floor with clean water from a dampened mop.
Stand in a corner of the far side of the bathroom and place the wet mop head against the floor.
Use special bleach for this type of surface which you can find for sale in any supermarket.
Start with the farthest point from the door.
Mop with a ph neutral non chelating cleaner that won t react with the minerals in the stone.
Sweep up all the dust and debris you ve cleaned so far and let fall on the floor then mop using hot soapy bleach water.
Move the mop across the floor from side to side walking your way backwards until you reach the door.

Remember to rinse the floor with clean water to remove slippery soap residue.
Use a soft mop or cloth to apply the cleaning solution to the floor or tile before wiping away residue with clean water.
This technique will ensure that you don t step on any parts of the bathroom floor that you have already mopped and that you don t get trapped on the other side of the bathroom waiting for the floor to dry.
Instead of hauling it upstairs with your mop turn your bathroom sink into a makeshift bucket.
Add 1 4 cup vinegar and 1 tablespoon dish soap.
