To use ammonia a little bit of ammonia should be mixed with warm water in a bucket. Lightly scrub the tiles and the grout between the tiles by hand with a stiff brush or plastic scrub pad. Mix it thoroughly to get a uniform soapy mixture. Ammonia is very good for making tile floors shinny and bright.

Use a microfiber cloth and buff the floor in smooth even circular motions. Mop your tiles in small sections with this solution and then buff it dry with a microfiber towel. Mop the tile floor to disinfect it. Do not use steel wool or any extremely abrasive pad of other materials.

You don t want to use too much soap as it can actually make the tiles worse in the long run. You can now apply this soap solution to your ceramic tile floor with the help of a mop. Repeat the previous process in case of persistent stains on the tile floor. Clean with vinegar and then make sure to rinse with hot water to get the shine back.

Dry the surface to remove excess moisture. You ll soon see a shine come up on the tiles and that may be enough to get them looking good again. This kind of sealer sits on the surface of the tile like polyurethane sits on the surface of wood. Start at one end of the room and work your way across so you don t miss any sections.

Mix the baking soda thoroughly with warm water to form a paste. It can be used to remove stains and dirt from tile floors. Soak a mop in the solution and wring out the excess water. Soak a mop in the ammonia solution and squeeze out the excess water.

If the tile floor contains odd yellow discolorations or mildew the ammonia will return the tiles back to their original shine. Combine 1 4 cup of ammonia with 1 gallon of warm water in a bucket. Apply 2 to 3 coats of sealer. However most ceramic tile floors don t have much of a sealant and it is fine to use vinegar in small quantities.

To make this solution you just need to add some soap to a bucket of warm water. For a thicker finish layer apply additional coats of sealer. Buff the tile floor with a microfiber cloth. A simple soap solution can help to keep your ceramic floor shiny and lustrous for longer.
